In this post, we announce the nominees and winner of the Home Care Individual of the Year award.
2019 has been an amazing year of growth for Better Healthcare. We believe in showing gratitude to those who helped Better Healthcare grow which is why we held our annual Better Healthcare Awards night earlier this month.
As part of our 2019 awards series, we will announce the nominees and the winner of the Home Care Individual of the Year award in this post.
The following people are the nominees for the award:
- Amy O’Neill (Live-in Division)
- Lauren Cosgrove (Luton Home Care Division)
- Jessica Seymour (Brighton Specialist Division)
- Talia Harmer (Brighton Home Care Division)
- Sharon Brookes (Norwich Specialist Division)
And the winner is…
Congratulations to Talia Harmer! Talia is the Senior Care Coordinator for Brighton’s Home Care Division. Here’s what Talia had to say about winning:
Winning this award came as a complete surprise as I was up against some amazing people. I am overjoyed to have even been nominated and to win has given me the confidence to challenge myself in 2020.
I started with Better Healthcare nearly four years ago as an FCS. I was promoted to Coordinator after nearly two years and then to Senior Coordinator in early 2019. Working with Better Healthcare has been challenging but very rewarding. I have learnt more than I could ever have imagined, and I am very lucky to work with such a fantastic team.
Here’s what Bonsu Sekyere, the Director of Home Care, had to say about Talia Harmer.
Talia has been in the company for the last four years joining us a Field Care Supervisor. She’s worked her way up through our career development programme to become a Senior Coordinator. This year, Talia consistently managed more new service users than any of our care coordinators. We are very proud of Talia’s achievement and have no doubt she will continue with her development into other areas within the business.
A massive ‘well done’ goes to all of the nominees and the winner for their hard work in 2019.
