Live-In Care – Dedicated Healthcare in Your Own Home
This is a personalised service seen as the alternative to going into a nursing or residential home.
With this service, you will have your own dedicated worker who lives in your own home. This means you can remain in the comfort of your own home with all your familiar possessions and pets. You can continue with your independent lifestyle, freedom for continuous family visits, with your own one to one carer whom you get to know.
Your live-in carer will monitor your individual needs and respond with arrangements to suit and fit in around your normal routine giving you total flexibility, choice and control for your own personalised care need.
We provide reliable live-in carers with a dedicated Local Care Manager who will respond swiftly to any concerns. We provide continuity of care, which means should your carer take holiday or fall ill or you simply don’t get on, we will provide you with a replacement. At Better Healthcare Services, we don’t wait for you to have a problem before solving it, we pro-actively monitor our carers, support and give ongoing training to ensure we offer the best possible services.

Better Healthcare Services directly employs all our care workers. Our rigorous recruitment procedures are in line with CQC guidelines. We ensure our live-in care workers are inducted, trained, supported and monitored to meet your needs. To ensure quality service delivery, we ensure our live-in workers written and verbal communication skills are at an acceptable level. All staff members are trained by our qualified and experienced in-house trainers and are regularly reviewed and monitored to ensure ongoing satisfactory service delivery. The Registered Manager is responsible for arranging these reviews. If an insufficient level of competence is evident during review and monitoring, then appropriate training and support will be implemented to improve staff.
Continuity of service
Our commitment is to ensure you receive continuous service when your carer is on holiday or falls ill. Whether this is an emergency or arranged time off, we will ensure a suitable replacement is put in place. We will also ensure enough time is given for staff to handover during a change over. This will be of no cost to you.
Once we receive your call, a Registered CQC Manager will make a home or hospital visit to do an assessment. This is a no obligation assessment and you will not be charged for this service.
- After your assessment we will give you our competitive charges and detailed service plan.
- We will not hassle you to make a decision but we are at the end of the phone to answer any of your questions before you make any commitment to Better Healthcare Services. Once you’ve chosen Better Healthcare Services, we will work closely with your family, Social Services, GP and other relevant parties to develop your individual support plan.
- The initial assessment will take into account any concerns or requests from you. Care workers are then accurately matched based on the relevant knowledge/experience/training and shared beliefs.
- We understand the importance of starting to build a relationship with your live-in carer, therefore we are able to arrange for you to meet your carer to ensure you are happy before they start.
Our scope of services is second to none, we believe that personal service is important in making life more enjoyable and comfortable. Our 24 hour telephone on-call service operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year to deal with any emergencies and there is always an experienced member of staff who can be consulted day or night.
Ongoing performance will be audited informally by means of frequent contact with you. We offer ongoing training and supervision to staff to ensure that high standards are firstly put in place and then maintained. Managers perform regular spot checks throughout the duration of your live-in package.
